The following questions are those that we are asked frequently at the Hanley Family Foundation. We encourage you to review these before applying for a grant.

How can I apply for a grant from the Hanley Family Foundation?

Applications must be submitted online.

How often does the Foundation review grant applications?

Applications are reviewed throughout the year. Within 60 days, we will communicate the status of your request or when a decision would be made.

If I’m not sure our project is eligible for a grant from the Hanley Family Foundation, is there a way to find out its eligibility without submitting a proposal?

Yes, we are willing to review and respond to a brief project summary prior to receiving a full grant proposal.

My organization works with a population that includes substance abusers but that is not its mission. Are we still eligible for a grant from the Hanley Family Foundation?

No, the Foundation only funds 501(c)(3) organizations whose mission is built around addiction, chemical abuse, recovery and the like. We only support organizations whose primary mission is dealing with these diseases.

If I receive a grant from the Hanley Family Foundation, what kind of reporting back to the Foundation do I need to do?

We require all grantees to provide reports on the status of their grant dollar use. The specifics of what reporting is necessary will be detailed in the grant agreement.

Would you consider an international project?

Not at this time.
